I just finished up on the Gospel of Luke section. I have just put up Luke chapters 22 through 24, containing some excellent "connective expository sermons" dealing with the crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This will make an excellent Passover review for all you readers.
UNITYINCHRIST.COM was created first and foremost to nourish believers in Jesus (Yeshua) across denominational lines using an online format. Second to that, it was designed to encourage giving to the major international evangelistic organizations that promote the Gospel or help hurting people in the name of Jesus. It also was created to help bring a form of unity to the body of Christ through understanding each other, particularly between the Gentile and recently revived Jewish branches of the body of Christ. There is a lot of material on the site, and all of it is worthy of lively Christian discussion. That is what this blog site was created for, to create an open forum for Christian discussion. One very controversal article on this site is titled "Early Church History" (click on nav button by that title) or log onto http://www.unityinchrist.com/history2/index3.htm ). If the recently written and researched early Church history books are right, we are in for a major paradigm crash in our understanding of the early Church--i.e. it was Jewish, both racially and in practice. Plenty to discuss there. But please read the article first, and then discuss. Agree, disagree, that's fine, that's what this blog's for. But do all in the love of Christ, not giving offense to anyone. Unityinchrist.com is a huge website, and growing all the time, so there's plenty to discuss.
In the late 1960s I was in the submarine force, my boat operating with the USS Scorpion (it is now believed she was sunk by the Russians, anyway she never made it back from the Med, while we did). After getting off active duty, I became an active member of a Sabbatarian Church of God. 25 years later, as the Worldwide Church of God came into "what they thought" was an accurate new covenant understanding that Days of Worship are an optional choice for believers (misinterpreting Romans 14), and being a bit confused by all the changes, I left WCG and started attending a local Calvary Chapel, as well as a nearby Messianic Jewish congregation. I am now attending a small, friendly Sabbatarian house-church. Fueled by my insatiable appetite to understand the entire body of Christ, and help nourish it and help bring a degree of unity to it, I started UNITYINCHRIST.COM.
